8685217_sThese days the continually rising cost of college puts many families in a bind, so we are excited to announce a college tuition discount program which we offer at no cost to our clients.

Harvest Advisers is partnered with SAGE Scholars Tuition Rewards ® to offer a unique private college savings program.  Points are earned similar to frequent flyer miles which can be used to help discount college tuition!  Each Tuition Reward point is equal to a $1.00 guaranteed minimum discount off of tuition at any participating college.  The maximum scholarship varies by school, but currently is over $45,000, which is spread over four years!

Points represent a guaranteed non-need based minimum scholarship that an eligible student will receive if he or she attends a participating school.  Today, more than 340 private colleges from Maine to Hawaii use Tuition Rewards to help fill their undergraduate freshmen classes, and the list grows each year.

Family members including parents, grandparents, uncles and aunts can earn points and help get a discount off the “sticker price” of tuition.  When clients invest money with us and enroll in this rewards program, we are able to award points equal to 2.5% of their invested assets every six months.  The invested assets do not need to be college savings accounts; they can be retirement accounts, brokerage accounts or trusts.  For example, an IRA with $400,000 invested would generate 20,000 points over the course of one year.

We are excited that after having this program in place for just a little while, we have over 500,000 points built up for future college students at no cost to our clients!

We feel the value of a good education is enormous, and we are thrilled that we are able to offer another way to help!  If you would like to know more, give us a call!
